How temps can make a good impression in an interview
Although an interview is not required for all
temporary positions, it is always
good for candidates to be prepared for an interview.
To make a good impression at interview, CPL
consultants offer the following advice
to temporary work candidates:
Research
Always research the company. Research includes
reading information provided by a
CPL consultant or reading information on the company
website. You should be aware
of the company’s competitors, target markets and
customers, prior to the interview.
Professional appearance
Dress appropriately in professional office attire.
Attitude
Try not to be nervous. You will be better able to
sell yourself if you are calm,
clear and confident.
Body language
Ensure you make regular eye contact with the
interviewer and don’t forget to smile!
Integrity
Be honest and truthful about your experience and
achievements in the workplace.
Practice
Prepare your own questions in advance of the
interview. Practice answering them
with friends, family or in front of the mirror.
